Bridging visas allow you to temporarily stay in Australia after your current substantive visa expires
and are waiting for your substantive visa application to be processed.

BVA’s are granted when you are on a substantive visa and lodge another substantive visa while your
application is being processed.

has no work rights unless you can demonstrate financial hardship.

Bridging Visa B

If you want to travel outside of Australia while waiting for your substantive visa application to be
processed, you can apply for a BVB. This visa is valid for 3 months, and should apply for it 3 weeks
before intent to travel.

Australia or lodge an application.
