This visa is an\u00a018 month\u00a0visa available to international students who have completed 2 years of study in Australia and have full work rights.<\/p>

Australian Study Requirements:<\/h3>

• You must complete a course or series of courses in Australia which take at least 2 academic years.<\/li>
• can count studies at the diploma level or higher, also Certificate III courses in trade occupation, including diplomas, advanced diplomas, bachelor degrees, graduate diplomas, masters, and PhDs<\/li>
• studies need to be \u201cclosely related\u201d to your nominated occupation<\/li>
• The studies must be registered on CRICOS and the total registered study period must be at least 92 weeks<\/li>
• overseas studies may count when calculating the\u00a092 week\u00a0requirement<\/li>
• can count more than one course<\/li>
• can have a break in between studies and still meet the\u00a02 year\u00a0study requirement<\/li><\/ul>

  Skills Assessment<\/h4>

  Need a positive skills assessment in your nominated occupation. The skills assessment must be lodged prior to the 485 visa application, but need not be completed at\u00a0lodgement.<\/p>

  English Language Requirements<\/h4>

  • Hold a passport from the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada or New Zealand;\u00a0 or<\/strong><\/li>
  • IELTS<\/strong>(Academic or General Training): overall average of 6 and at least 5 in each band; or<\/strong><\/li>
  • Occupational English Test<\/strong>(OET): B Pass in each band; or<\/li>
  • Pearson<\/strong>(PTE Academic): overall average of 50 with at least 36 in each band; or<\/strong><\/li>
  • TOEFL\u00a0iBT<\/strong>(Internet Based Test): total score of 64, with at least 4 in Listening and Reading, and at least 14 in Writing and Speaking;\u00a0 or<\/strong><\/li>
  • Cambridge (CAE):\u00a0<\/strong>169 overall average with at least 154 in each band.<\/li><\/ul>

    Time Limits<\/h4>

    You must apply for your 485 visa\u00a0within 6 months of completion\u00a0of your Australian studies.
